Arysta Launched Microbe Insecticide PIRATES? GR in Japan
Arysta LifeScience launched a latest microbe insecticide PIRATES®GR recently to prevent thrips. Thrips is a kind of pest which is difficult to cure. It appears on eggplant, cucumber and green pepper.
Active content of PIRATES®GR is green muscardine fungus which is grown in soil naturally and distribute globally. It can cause the death of many kinds of pest include thrip.
PIRATES®GR is the first pesticide that its active content is green muscardine fungus. Scatter
GR on soil when use, then thrip will infect green muscardine fungus.
In addition, PIRATES®GR can use rice grain as carrier. Rice grain absorb water from soil and provide source of nutrition for green muscardine fungus. So green muscardine fungus can keep alive and breed even if it doesn’t contact with larva or pupa of thrip.
Field experiment of PIRATES®GR’s is in progress so that it can expand to other pest and plants and apply in extensive fileds.
